Job Title: Forklift Operator
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our team at Primero Staffing. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the efficient movement and handling of materials within our client’s facility. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Operation: Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials, products, or goods in accordance with safety protocols and guidelines.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, or other transportation vehicles using a forklift, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Material Handling: Transport materials to designated storage areas or production lines, following established procedures and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking incoming and outgoing shipments and updating inventory levels accordingly.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect materials for damage or defects during loading, unloading, and transportation, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Knowledge of forklift safety protocols and guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
