Date posted: April 10, 2026 Pay: $20.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary As a Cushion Sewer, you are a key part of the production team. Your main goal is to sew high-quality fabric and leather covers for furniture cushions. You’ll take the cut pieces and turn them into the finished covers that make the furniture look and feel great. Duties ● Operate Industrial Machines: Use single or double-needle industrial sewing machines to assemble cushion covers, pillows, and ottomans. ● Follow Instructions: Read and follow "production tickets" (instruction sheets) to ensure you use the right fabric and sew the right style for each order. ● Quality Control: Inspect your own work to ensure seams are straight, patterns match up, and there are no defects before passing it to the next department. ● Material Handling: Work with various materials, including delicate fabrics and heavy leathers. ● Basic Maintenance: Keep your sewing machine clean and perform simple upkeep, like changing needles or bobbins as needed. ● Safety & Cleanliness: Keep your workstation organized and follow all safety rules to prevent accidents Qualifications ● Attention to Detail: You should have a sharp eye for detail to ensure everything lines up perfectly (especially with patterned fabrics). ● Steady Pace: This is a production environment, so you’ll need to work efficiently to meet daily goals. ● Reliability: Being on time and present every day is crucial for the team to stay on schedule. ● Physical Stamina: You will be sitting or standing for long periods and constantly using your hands and feet (for the machine pedal).
