Job Description:
Primero Staffing is seeking an experienced and reliable Head School Custodian to oversee our custodial team and ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of our school premises. As the Head School Custodian, you will play a crucial role in managing the custodial staff and maintaining a clean, hygienic, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Training: Provide leadership and guidance to the custodial team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Cleaning Oversight: Supervise and participate in the execution of daily cleaning tasks, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained throughout the school premises.
- Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other necessary materials, and ensure timely procurement and replenishment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring that all custodial staff members are trained in the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Event Support: Coordinate custodial support for school events, meetings, and activities, ensuring proper setup and cleanup as required.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, maintenance tasks, and any incidents or issues, and provide regular reports to the school administration.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in custodial services or facility management is required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and materials.
- Familiarity with budget management and inventory control.
- Understanding of safety procedures and guidelines, particularly in an educational setting.
